When someone you love is suffering, how do you help without hurting?

In Being There, pastor and author Dave Furman draws from personal experience to equip Christians to care for friends, family, or church members going through pain, illness, or grief. Whether you're walking with someone through chronic illness, depression, bereavement, or crisis, this book is filled with practical wisdom and gospel hope.

Written with warmth and honesty, Furman shares about helping others in tough seasons—not with clichés, but with Christlike compassion. Each chapter brings readers back to the sufficiency of Jesus and the call to love others faithfully.

This book reminds us that showing up—and being rooted in grace—is often the most meaningful thing we can do.
